Construction industry is an integral part of a countrys infrastructure and industrial development. With the present emphasis on creating physical infrastructure, massive investment is planned during the Tenth Plan. Key reforms have been initiated in several sectors with the objective of augmenting countrys infrastructure. The construction industry has played a crucial role in this regard. Construction becomes the basic input for socio-economic development. Besides, the construction industry generates substantial employment and provides a growth to other sectors through backward and forward linkages.
