Description

Red Garden Paint's RG-9932 ( Chlorinated Rubber Based Paint ) has good film forming properties, easy to apply, fast solvent release, low water vapour permeability and excellent chemical resistance. This coating has excellent weather resistance and good resistance to a wide range of chemicals including aqueous solutions of Acids, Alkalis, Corrosive Gases, high Alkalinity of Concrete and Asbestos Cement. It is a versatile coating for substrates i.e. concrete, wood and metal. It is suitable for application in industrial atmospheres and aggressive conditions, such as fertilizer factories , chemical plants, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, swimming pools and as Marine * British Code of Standard Practice CP2008/BS5493 recommends Chlorinated rubber based paint as one of the systems suitable for structures of all types exposed to sea water or chemicals i.e. Bridges, Transmission Towers, Plants, Buildings, Electrical Industries, Exposed Pipe line and storage Tanks.

Surface Preparation And Application:

Proper surface preparation is the key to success in paint *re the surface is cleaned from dust, rust, grease or any * results are obtained on surfaces prepared according to Swedish Standard SIS 05.59.00 Sa 2.5

Technical Data:

Viscosity @ 25°C : 90 ± 10 seconds Ford Cup B4.
Binder Type : Non Saponifiable Plasticised Chlorinated Rubber.
Pigment : Weather resisting inert pigments.
Colours Available : White, Black , Grey and Pastel shades.
Application : Brush , Airless Spray or Roller.
Average Spreading Rate : 6-9 Sq. Meters per litre ( depending on surface ).
Drying Time : a) Surface Dry : Within 1 Hour
b) Recoat : 8 Hours
c) Hard Dry : 18 Hours
Number of Coats : 2-3 Coats
Finish And Gloss : Smooth, Semi Glossy to Glossy.
Scratch resistance : More than 700 gms when tested after 7 days.
Flexibility : Flexible over 6mm mandrel when tested according to B.S. 3900
Salt Spray Resistance : Resists more than 240 Salt Spray Hours, when tested as a System according to B. S. 3900.
Weather Resistance : When tested as a system over Chlorinated Rubber Anti - Corrosive Primer and exposed to accelerated * resists more than 1,000 hours.
Thinner : CR-RG-12
Storage Stability : Twelve Months when stored properly in Original Sealed containers.
Packing : 20 liter, 3.64 liter.

Note: Recommended spreading rate per liter based upon minimum recommended dry film thickness per coat. No allowance is made for material loss during application.
